This website was established in 2017 - raising money to attach the wings
Your contribution will be kept in the Horten229.org T. Rowe Price Program for Charitable Giving donor advised fund account until such time as the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum is ready to tow the wings back into the restoration hanger for the needed conservation work.
See our monthly T. Rowe Price Investments statements tab where we will post our quarterly statements including showing Terry Coakley's initial $2,500 contribution toward his commitment to fund the wing stand that went in in November, 2017. Therefore the statements will begin being posted in December, 2017 which will show another $5,000 leader gift from a generous donor.
We pay any costs of this web site from our own personal funds such that 100% of your donated funds (after any PayPal/charge card charges if you decide to help that way) are deposited into the Horten229.org T. Rowe Price account. This way there are no fees like the 5%+ fee on GoFundMe.com or similar sites.
To receive the requisite US tax deduction documentation for a contribution of $250 or over, you should send your check made payable to The T. Rowe Price Program For Charitable Giving. Be sure to note in the memo section: For Horten229.org account. Mail to:
